 Umrao Jaan Dance DramaSet in Lucknow during the Mughal period, the play tells the tale of Amiran (later Umrao) kidnapped as a young girl and sold to the keeper of a Courtesan house who trains her in the traditional art forms of Sufi (poetry), Thumri (singing) and Kathak (dance) in order to entertain the rich nobility of the Mughal Court.
